Lozano v. Hazleton, 496 F. Supp. 2d 477 (M.D. Pa. 2007) (Decision and Verdict)

Lozano v. City of Hazleton, 2006 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 79301 (TRO Opinion)

The Lozano case was a challenge to Hazleton Pennsylvania's "Illegal Immigration Relief Act" ("IIRA"). The IIRA was the first of slew of local ordinances attempting to regulate immigration and punish people the city considered "illegal immigrants" and those who provided employment and housing to them. I am proud to have been part of the legal team that defeated this ordinance.

Louis-Martin v. Ridge, 2004 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 11296

In the Louis-Martin case, I represented the Petitioner only for the Habeas Corpus petition, persuading the Federal District Court to remand the matter back to the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement so that my client could have the chance to have his Convention Against Torture claim heard. I was not the attorney who was "harshly reprimanded" by the Immigration Judge in New York state. I did not represent the Petitioner with regard to the subsequent CAT claim.

Gomez v. Bureau of Immigration & Customs Enforcement's Interim Field Office Dir. for Det. & Removal, 315 F. Supp. 2d 63, 2004 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 7456
